Christian greetings to you!

It is my distinct honour to welcome you to this our 82nd Annual National Convention of the Church of God of Prophecy here in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The convention promises to be a spiritually uplifting event, filled with inspirational Praise & Worship singing and music, and encouraging sermons and presentations.

The theme of our convention is just one easy word – “Forward”. The word “Forward” alone inspires a sense of hope. It is an indication that whatever we are experiencing now is not all that there is. There are better things ahead, but, if we are to experience them, we must move forward. As we move forward, obstacles may be encountered along the way. This was certainly true for the children of Israel as they escaped slavery in Egypt and approached the bank of the Red Sea. They seemingly had nowhere to go, but God gave the instruction to go forward (Exodus 14:15) and a great miracle happened that day.

Yes, it has been a difficult year in many ways. Particularly because of the global pandemic. But, as the third stanza of the classic John Newton hymn, Amazing Grace, reminds us:

“Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
‘Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
And Grace will lead me home.”

I am excited about the future because we are assured that the presence of the Almighty God will be with us as we move forward. This will enable us to overcome any and every hindrance. Let us go FORWARD COGOP TCI!

Be sure to tune in on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/COGOPBHTCI) on Sunday morning for the live simulcast with the Cayman Islands where our General Presbyter, Bishop Dr. Clayton Martin, will deliver the Word to the convention.

Blessings!
